Angelina Jolie Officially new face of Vuitton

Well it’s official! Angelina Jolie has been confirmed as the new face of Louis Vuitton. In what will be (I think you’ll agree) a great meeting of minds; the sultry actress, mother of six and avid charity worker is reportedly being paid over £6,000,000 for the coveted role. Past faces of Louis Vuitton have included Madonna, Kate Moss, and Scarlett Johansson. And with the payment more than doubling what Nicole Kidman earned at Chanel, I’m sure Marc Jacobs will make sure he gets his money’s worth!

People have been asking me ‘why do you care though?’ Well here is my reasoning: whatever outfit Jolie is wearing has been chosen to represent the whole collection, months of work, hundreds of jobs and the millions of pounds spent. These ad’s let you into the mind of the creator, and where his mind has been living for the past six months. An artistic outlet; it gives you a sense of knowingness, letting you have your very own piece of the brand that has become so recognisable yet so untouchable to many. Frankly, I can’t wait to see how Jacobs and his team transform Angelina into the LV woman.
